Lesson 2: Store Delivery Process
How to Complete a Five Below Delivery
Purpose
This lesson explains the basic delivery process contractors must follow when delivering Five Below freight to stores.
Before Arrival
- Review the delivery location and window
- Confirm freight is loaded and secured
- Make sure liftgate and pallet jack are working
- Be prepared to communicate any delay immediately
At the Store
- Arrive within the scheduled delivery window
- Check in with store receiving or management
- Unload freight using the liftgate and pallet jack
- Deliver pallets to the store backroom
- Do not downstack freight unless specifically instructed
- Complete scanning and paperwork
- Pick up empty pallets
Delivery Rules
- Do not leave freight outside
- Do not break down pallets
- Do not miss the delivery window without notifying dispatch
- Do not leave without completing required scans
Important: Early or late deliveries may be rejected by the store. Communicate immediately if timing becomes an issue.
Professionalism at the Store
- Be respectful to store staff
- Follow store receiving instructions
- Stay calm if there is an issue
- Contact dispatch before making decisions outside the normal process
