ROLO Transport
Five Below Contractor Training
Lesson 3: Scanning & Communication Standards
Visibility, Accuracy, and Updates
Purpose
Five Below deliveries require accurate scanning and fast communication. These steps help ROLO maintain visibility and account performance.
Pallet Scanning Requirements
- Every pallet must be scanned at delivery
- Use the pallet ID barcode first
- If the main barcode does not scan, try the alternate barcode
- Manual entry should only be used as a last resort
- Do not leave the store without completing required scans
Why Scanning Matters
- Confirms delivery completion
- Provides shipment visibility
- Supports customer and store communication
- Impacts ROLO and contractor performance
Communicate Immediately If:
- You are running late
- The truck breaks down
- The liftgate does not work
- A pallet is damaged
- The store refuses delivery
- The store is closed or no staff is available
- There is a scanner or barcode issue
- Access to the store is blocked
Example Driver Update
Route update:
Arrived at Five Below store.
Store backroom access is blocked.
Contacting dispatch for next steps before unloading.
Important: Do not wait until the end of the day to report issues. Report problems as soon as they happen.
ROLO Standard: Scan every pallet, communicate early, and never guess when there is an issue.
