Online Medical Assistant Training

At LC Career Center, our Allied Health Programs are designed for both individual learners and frontline healthcare teams who are ready to advance their careers. These flexible, self-paced programs prepare you with job-ready skills and nationally recognized certification opportunities. Whether your goal is to work in the front office, provide direct patient care, or specialize in phlebotomy or EKG, our programs give you the foundation to thrive in today’s fast-growing healthcare industry.

Administrative Medical Assistant Program
Focuses on the administrative side of medical assisting, preparing you for roles in scheduling, billing, insurance processing, patient records, and office communication. You’ll also learn the fundamentals of medical law and ethics, HIPAA compliance, and the soft skills needed to support both patients and providers.

Clinical Medical Assistant Program
Covers the hands-on, patient-facing responsibilities of medical assisting. You’ll learn to take vital signs, assist with clinical procedures, perform basic laboratory tasks, and support providers during patient care. The program also introduces anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to prepare you for certification and a clinical career path.

Phlebotomy Technician Program
Provides specialized training in blood collection, specimen handling, and lab safety. You’ll gain knowledge of venipuncture techniques, infection control, and quality assurance standards. This program prepares you for entry-level phlebotomy positions and certification opportunities through national credentialing agencies.

EKG Technician Program
Prepares you to operate electrocardiogram (EKG) equipment, monitor heart rhythms, and assist with diagnostic cardiac testing. You’ll learn to recognize common arrhythmias and support providers in delivering essential patient care. This program is ideal for students looking to enter the growing field of cardiac healthcare support.
