Module 2: Internship Program Overview
Lesson Title: Internship Tracks & Requirements Content: - Download the Internship Scope of Work (PDF) Explore our remote internship tracks: - Course Authoring - Train-the-Trainer - Clinical Internship (Hybrid) - Instructor Track - Workforce/Administrative Support - Publishing - Master Life Coach Intern Track 🕒 Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/week 📅 Track Length: 4, 6, or 12 months 💡 Benefits: - Hands-on digital course building - LMS, publishing, and facilitation experience - Tuition discounts for eligible students - Portfolio and mentorship support This internship is a real opportunity to grow as an instructional designer, facilitator, or leader in online learning and training. If you are already skilled or have a course idea, we’ll show you how to turn that into a monetizable product! Clinical Internship (Hybrid) This track is designed for Medical Assistant students seeking real-world healthcare exposure. Interns participate in charting simulations, virtual case reviews, administrative support tasks, and hybrid learning experiences aligned with certification standards. Ideal for students preparing for hands-on roles in clinics, hospitals, or front office settings. Master Life Coach Intern Track This track supports students in the Master Life Coach certification program. Interns complete required practicum hours by engaging in content reflection, coaching demonstrations, and support-based learning projects. Perfect for students who want to deepen their understanding of life coaching while contributing to digital resource development. Instructor Track (Student) This learning-focused internship allows students to shadow instructors, assist in facilitation, and practice foundational teaching skills. Interns help support virtual classes, manage engagement tools, and contribute to the learning environment, offering a first look into adult education and instructional design. Instructor Track (Facilitator) Designed for aspiring or emerging instructors, this track helps you build confidence in leading lessons, using digital platforms, and co-facilitating live or asynchronous courses. You'll strengthen your presentation skills and learn how to adapt content for diverse learners in virtual and hybrid settings. Train-the-Trainer Track This intensive track prepares participants to become confident trainers in their field. Interns learn the art of facilitation, virtual delivery, learner engagement, and feedback-based improvement. Ideal for coaches, mentors, or professionals transitioning into teaching or corporate training roles. Course Authoring Track This track equips interns with behind-the-scenes skills in building, formatting, and publishing online learning modules. Interns support lesson creation, quiz development, downloadable resources, and LMS setup. Great for those interested in instructional design or content development. Publishing Track Focused on digital learning assets, this track provides experience in document layout, formatting, branded templates, and publishing workflows. Interns help prepare learning guides, workbooks, and visuals — ideal for creatives, editors, and content designers. Workforce/Admin Support Track This operational track trains interns in back-end LMS support, learner tracking, scheduling, communication systems, and digital workspace coordination. It’s ideal for students with strong organizational skills who want to contribute to the internal systems that power education delivery.

📌 How to Apply for the Internship Program (2-Step Process) To be considered for the LC Career Center Internship Program, you must complete both steps of the application process: ✅ Step 1: Complete the Internship Application Click the link below to begin your application. You’ll be asked to provide your background, program interests, and contact details so we can match you with the right mentor and track. 👉 Click here to complete the Internship Application ✅ Step 2: Register on the Learning Platform After submitting your application, you will be automatically directed to the LC Career Center learning platform to create your student account. This will activate your personalized student dashboard, where your assigned mentor will continue the application process with you. ⚠️ Please Note: You must complete Step 1 (the application) before your dashboard access and mentor assignment will be activated. Do not skip ahead — the system requires both steps to proceed.
